Who We Are: Tesfaye
Abate Tesfaye Abate is an industry veteran and offers decades
of experience and accomplishments in the hospitality and restaurants business.
He is well versed in dealing with different cultural backgrounds and is fluent
in several languages. In the 1980s he owned his own restaurant in San Francisco,
California. He has pioneered sales, account management, and customer relation
management techniques that more than doubled sales while saving his employers
tens of thousands in costs annually. His experience in all hotels departments
from the front desk to housekeeping, concierge, sales and operations has equipped
him with the knowledge sought after for a successful and distinguished hospitality
leader. He has held hospitality leadership positions all over the world in five
star Hotels in the Middle East, East Africa, throughout Europe and the United
States. He brings
a strong operations background and a unique ability to communicate with all levels
of the organization. He is the complete professional in all aspects of hotel operations
and is fluent in Italian, Arabic, Spanish, Amharic and Tigrinya. Tesfaye
was educated in the Hotel business at the Scuola Alberghiera di Bellagio Lago
in Como Italy. Ron
Yudd Ron Yudd has spoken and trained hospitality professionals all
over the world. He is an internationally recognized management consultant, speaker
and trainer. He trains leaders, managers and associates on both profit strategies
and re-energizing their passion for service. His
programs "Leadership Legacy", "No One Escapes Service" and
"Points of Profit" have helped business operators focus in on profit
enhancing strategies and service improvement programs. Ron
grew up in the restaurant business working in Washington D.C. As part of his extensive
background Ron held the position of Director of Food Service for the United States
Senate in Washington DC. He served in the Senate for over 21 years. His guests,
associates and employees still refer to Ron as "The Senator of Service".
During his tenure the Senate Restaurant served over 10,000 meals per day in ten
different restaurants. Ron supervised over 200 associates in the daily mission
of delivering the highest quality food with a passion for personalized service.
